Stack Overflow

Posted in Websites or Tools

About 6 months ago Jeff Atwood and Joel Spolsky started publishing a weekly podcast discussing their new project: Stack Overflow. The site has been open to the public for a few weeks now and I’m finding it very useful.

Simply put, it’s a place where software developers can ask questions and get answers. Those answers can be voted up or down by the users of the site, depending on the accuracy and relevance. There’s other interesting components to the site, like the idea that questions or answers can be edited by other users. You can think of it as a cross between a forum and a wiki.

If you’re a software developer who’s not using Stack Overflow then you need to jump on board.
